Built across cultures.
Rooted in Japan.

I moved back to Japan when my first son was born after years of building and scaling companies in the US. Now with two young boys, Lucky Sheep Company was founded as my way of showing them how to bridge different worlds.

It's a project built on the idea of connecting and building across cultures. Our mission is simple: to help businesses and people be successful here.

We've seen companies from seed stage to Fortune 500, and the mess that comes with international scaling. We take things from 0 to 1, develop playbooks that work in Japan, and restructure what isn't quite working.

Where Japan expansions break down.

Most of the companies that struggle here do not fail because of the market. They fail because of decisions made before they understood it.

Not budgeting for patience
Japan's trust curve is long. The companies that run out of runway rarely do so because the market wasn't there.
The cost of the wrong hire
The expensive, credentialed profile is rarely the right one. Getting it wrong is slow to see and costly to fix.
The visibility problem
Japan teams communicate the way Japan works. Global reads it the way every other market works. The gap between them is expensive.
Mistaking activity for progress
Meetings, relationships, deals in discussion. None of it is revenue. Japan requires a different definition of momentum.

We have seen all of these up close. What we do about them is on the next page.
